Throughout his twenty-year career of painting murals, Matthew Willey has indulged the impulse of his clients to bring original, one-of-a-kind beauty to the walls of their homes or businesses. By combining the abilities of designer, scenic artist and painter, this skilled visionary craftsman literally spins line, tone and atmosphere from the bristles of his brush. The murals seem to grow, one stroke, one texture at a time, as he weaves the walls of a room through his imagination.

Matthew received a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Tufts University in 1993.

His work has been featured in Veranda Magazine (cover), Interior Design Magazine, Spaces Magazine, The Home Section of the New York Times, The Home Section of the Washington Post and many other publications.

When he is not on a mural project he can be found in his loft in Asheville, North Carolina making paintings on canvas or working on his latest screenplay.
